LO2: Designing Feedback

 Designing Feedback

Methods of Gaining Feedback

  • Interview
  • Questionnaire
  • Focus Group
  • Survey
These can be done with the target audience of the client's business (The Angel and Harlequin) which would be 20-50.

Due to the younger side of the target audience, a focus group can be created through social media like Instagram or Discord, including those between 20 and 30 to understand their feedback for ways they'd like advertisements to be conveyed (i.e. poster, promo video or social media post) and sending them drafts for designs of posters or an offline edit for a promotional video in a private group chat. This can be furthered by including the client (Chris Norfolk) in the group so they can give and see the feedback too.

For the older audience, an interview would be beneficial to gain detailed responses regarding what would appeal most to them and seeing what they think of draft designs or pre-production documents for potential advertisements.

The questions I have selected such as asking the audience what media types they interact with most allow me to direct advertisement methods to them. I furthered this through extended questions related to this via using an extended paragraph response for what kind of content they would like to see in these advertisements so that the target audience can be appealed to as efficiently as possible, taking in feedback this way. Examples such as questioning the audience on how effective a radio advert would be at targeting them would assist in justifying whether the creation of a radio advert would be effective or not through gaining a general understanding of how many people are likely to hear it in the first place.
