Unit 20: Flyer

Planning (Visualisation Diagram)

Draft Version

Client Feedback - Flyer

One issue which my client raised was the photo seen on the bottom of the flyer and the context surrounding it; the cake being not produced by the Angel & Harlequin. To rectify this, I used a different piece of photography which linked better with what the flyer was trying to advertise.

Now with the top image representing the 'slice of cake' and the bottom featuring the coffee as well as brunch; the restaurant's products could be clearly seen so audiences can gain an understanding of what kind of product the Angel & Harlequin sell.

LO2: Advertising Campaign for a Client - Initial Planning

LO2: Advertising Campaign for a Client - Initial Planning

Mind Map - Potential Clients

  • Huddersfield Football Club (HTAFC) - Increasing ticket sales for 11-18 year old's via advertising in different media such as posters/print and social media posts. - Images of (wide shot) player scoring goal in front of fans within Huddersfield Stadium alongside other players.
  • UTC Sheffield CDM Department - increase post-16 applications for CDM via: social media, print and audio which feature student testimony. I will directly address new and potential students.
  • Angel and Harlequin Bistro - To increase the no. people attending the restaurant and make audiences aware of upcoming events by way of posters advertising those events within and outside the restaurant in the local area as well as social media posts for a wider reach. This can be furthered with advertisements to encourage 16-25 year old's to join as front house staff or 20+ chefs. This done with images of the location, staff, food and drinks.
  • The Pneumatics (Uncle's band) - To make people attend and buy tickets to potential gigs through posters and social media aged 15-40 (creating a social media account for the band).
  • Eckington Air Cadets - To encourage people to join the Air Cadets as either a cadet (12-19) or staff member (20+) to train new members. This done by way of local poster advertisements, direct E-mails to potential staff members (previous cadets) and social media posts and radio advertisements. This can be furthered due to the connection with the RAF as a selling point.
  • Robert Steer Driving Instructor - To encourage 17 year old's to take driving lessons (with Robert) in the local Sheffield area through posters pasted around the area, social media posts and adverts on cars.
  • Tabby Teas Cat Café - To encourage 12-20 year old's (or general cat fanatics) to attend the café or adopt a cat. This can be done with posters around the city of Sheffield with pictures of the cats and the food/drinks in the café.

Invisible Fiction

Bridget is a 19 year old girl who enjoys going out with her friends and trying out local eateries together. She's an avid booze enjoyer but she loves gin and tonics with her favorite gin: Hendricks however, from time to time she will indulge in finer alcohol by way of her discerning palette and weakness for a good glass of (red) wine. Bridget lives within the Spinkhill area; born into a family of rich parents (B in the ABC1 scale). On Sundays her and her friends go out for lunch to enjoy a traditional Sunday dinner however, if their mood takes them, she will indulge in an evening meal with her best friend to typically enjoy a pizza or take advantage of menu specials.
